Long Island Policy
1. GUESTS AND SIBLINGS: Guest invitation/participation (by one who is age appropriate) is considered a Trial Class and must be arranged with the office at least 1 day in advance of requested attendance. Guest fees are $18.00 for any 45/55-minute class and $21.00 for any 60-minute class. Non-enrolled siblings may not attend class nor be present on the gym floor.
2. MAKE-UPS: The following CATS class levels are entitled to 2 make-ups per semester for classes missed: Baby, Kiddie, Junior, Sports Development. There are no make-ups for any other CATS Sports Classes without exception. Make-ups may be arranged (in the same level site/class only) and must be made 24 hours in advance by calling the appropriate site office. Make up must be taken no later than 2 weeks after missed class. Please let us know if a student is to miss a make-up class or is to be absent.
3. REFUNDS: The administration fee is non refundable for all classes: Notification of class cancellation must be received at least 24 hours prior to the first or second class in order not to incur the fee for the upcoming class. Pro rated refunds will be given if notification is received within 48-hours after the second class of the enrolled session.
NO REFUNDS/CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN THEREAFTER. MEMBERSHIP IS NON-TRANSFERABLE. All refund requests must be made DIRECTLY to an office staff person. NO EXCEPTIONS MADE. Refunds will take three to four weeks to process.
4. TRANSFERS: Once a term begins, a $25.00 fee will be implemented for changed/transferred classes.
5. LATE FEES: Total payment is expected upon enrollment. Once classes begin, overdue payments will incur a charge of $25.00.
6. RETURNED CHECKS: Returned checks incur a $50.00 charge.
7. CLASS OBSERVATION: Baby & Kiddie groups need full participation by the, parents/care givers who also must wear sneakers. For Junior CATS 1, after the first 2 weeks of class parents/care givers may no longer stay in class. From Juniors on up, parents/care givers are not permitted to stay in the gym during class. The Observation Area is provided for your use. Seating is on a first come first served basis.
8. ENTRANCE / DISMISSAL: All students must be supervised before class by their parents/care givers then be escorted directly onto the gym floor at commencement of class. No child will be dismissed from the gym without a supervising adult. Please NOTIFY the office if someone new will be picking up your child.
9. CLOTHING: Students should wear their appropriate CATS T-shirt (given out in class with paid enrollment), sneakers are a must, and comfortable leg wear.
10. ILLNESS: Children should not attend class if they are ill. Instructors may ask that children exhibiting symptoms (i.e., runny noses, fever, coughing, etc.) to leave their group
11. FOOD: No chewing gum is allowed in class and absolutely no food or beverages may be brought into the waiting area or the gym.
REMEMBER, OTHER CHILDREN MIGHT HAVE ALLERGIES, SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH FOOD.
